For Pogodynka.net, we developed an extensive weather portal designed to bring local forecasts, meteorological data, maps, alerts and practical content together in one clear service. The project was conceived as an information platform that guides users quickly to current data for their chosen location.
The service includes local weather forecasts, current conditions, hourly and long-range forecasts, a precipitation radar, weather maps, meteorological alerts, air quality, the UV index, wind data and synoptic reports. Its location-based structure was another important part of the project, allowing users to check the weather for thousands of places in Poland and around the world.
We placed particular emphasis on organising the information. A weather portal must be fast, clear and practical, so the page layout guides users from location search through the most important current data to maps, alerts and themed sections.
Automation was a key element of the implementation. The service was prepared to publish selected reports, notices and weather data at regular intervals and to expand its local and advisory content without every page having to be created manually from scratch.
The portal structure supports local SEO and the long-term growth of organic traffic. With its directory of locations, local forecasts and themed sections, the service can address different user intentions, from today’s weather and long-range forecasts to conditions for drivers, farmers and sailors.
The result is a responsive, functional and scalable weather portal that demonstrates WOH GROUP’s technical capabilities in content-rich services, data, automation and projects built around large numbers of pages.
